Your day trip begins in the gorgeous and charming village of Arbúcies, one of the most emblematic Historic architecture heritages in Catalonia. Arbúcies is located within the Natural Park of Montseny, just 50 min away from Barcelona capital city.
The Montseny massif, declared a Nature Reserve in 1978 and a World Biosphere Reserve by the UNESCO covers an area of 30,120 hectares. The Montseny is the largest and highest massif of the Pre-littoral mountain range and comprises three mountain areas: the Turó de l’Home crest (1,706 m) and Les Agudes (1,703 m), the Matagalls (1,697 m) and the Pla de la Calma (1,344 m).
Beyond the environmental and ecological matters, Montseny is a massif of great historic-cultural value, as human activity has played an important role in molding the landscape, full of masias, the most common architectural element of this area.
